Obstacle, The

by: Author Unknown, Source Unknown

A mother was convinced that her wayward son would become a Christian.
She pleaded with him to come to the faith. She sent him little cards with Bible verses on, tapes with sermons, spiritual books, but all to no avail.
One day she fell to her knees and prayed fervently to God that he would totally remove the obstacle to her son's conversion.
There was a blinding flash . . . {POOOOF!} . . . and she vanished.

Nothing Is Too Big For God

Two men went fishing. One man was an experienced fisherman, the other wasn't. Every time the experienced fisherman caught a big fish, he put it in his ice chest to keep it fresh. Whenever the inexperienced fisherman caught a big fish, he threw it back.
The experienced fisherman watched this go on all day and finally got tired of seeing this man waste good fish. "Why do you keep throwing back all the big fish you catch?" he asked. The inexperienced fisherman replied, "I only have a small frying pan."
Sometimes, like that fisherman, we throw back the big plans, the big dreams, the big jobs and the big opportunities that God gives us. Our faith is too small. We laugh at that fisherman who didn't figure out that all he needed was a bigger frying pan; yet how ready are we to increase the size of our faith?
Whether it's a problem or a possibility, God will never give you anything bigger than you can handle. That means we can confidently walk into anything God brings our way.
You can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13). Nothing is too big for God.
" Stop telling God you've got big problems. Tell your problems you've got a big God!"
AMEN !!!!

No Time

by: Author Unknown, Source Unknown

I knelt to pray but not for long,

I had too much to do.

I had to hurry and get to work For bills would soon be due.

So I knelt and said a hurried prayer, And jumped up off my knees.

My Christian duty was now done My soul could rest at ease.

All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer.

No time to speak of Christ to friends, They'd laugh at me I'd fear.

No time, no time, too much to do,That was my constant cry, No time to give to souls in need But at last the time, the time to die.

I went before the Lord, I came, I stood with downcast eyes.

For in his hands God held a book; It was the book of life.

God looked into his book and said "Your name I cannot find.

I once was going to write it down... But never found the time"

My Son

At dawn, before sunrise while the cock's still sleeping, I called your name, but you're still sleeping. I kissed your forehead, running my hand through your hair... alas, I want to talk with you. When sunray comes through your window, you wake up, saying, "Good morning, Father".
Ah! Once I give you all my new loves, graces and blessings. Yeah... I give all of that even if you woke up lately and got a shower in hurry without accosting me. When you go for a work today, you bring all I have prepared: love, goodness, bounty, rue, happiness, peace, patience which could be enough ... not only for you ... but you could share them with your friends.
Whether you could realize it, I'm with you while you're laughing happily with your friends. My son, I love you. You know, nobody could take your special place in my heart. Sometimes, I feel so sad for your dourness wanting; even if I didn't allow or when I said, "Wait for a moment"; but you still keep doing it. Don't you remember what you've said, "... may your wishes come true" ?
My son... I'm shaking my head. Don't you know that it makes me sad ? Seems that you're doubting my heart. Really, seems that you could not understand what I've plan the best for you. I have to discipline you only to make you realize that I will always prepare you the best thing for your life.
I will teach and show the way you have to explore. I will give my advice. Look into my eyes... they're focussed on you. Don't act like a stupid horse or mule... they won't approach you unless they're forced to. Sheldom, you come to me, crying and wheezing. You look for me and shouting, "Father... Father..."
It's me, son, don't be afraid. I will never leave you alone. If you could see my heart; my pain is more than what you feel my tears are more than yours your burden is also mine. Come to me for I will always be with you for the rest of your life. I'll always cover you, my hands are put over you. Just look at me when you hardly choose or decide during your growth.
Come close to me when you're weary... I'm still your Father even when you're getting old. I'm still carrying you when your hair's snowing. I have done and will keep doing that. I'll carry and save you. I'm still your Father during your good and bad days.
I'll be there when you're left alone... I'll be there when you need someone and nobody cares about you. Could a woman abandon her own baby... so she doesn't love him anymore ?
Even if she did that, I will never forget you. Look, I've carved you in my palm so I could always keep my eyes on you. My love is wider than the ocean... more higher than the sky... more deeper than the sea.
When you have finished your day, you look so tired even for calling me. Come on child, clean it up, let my living water braces you then you will get your new strength... Like a flying eagle who gets strength from its wings... it runs and walks without getting tired or weary...
Get my prepared words for you will never get hungry... take a rest in my protection. I'll stay and cover you untill next morning... a new day with full of hopes... and I will fall my graces when you sleep.

Message from the Creator

When I created heaven and earth I said the words and there created heaven and earth.
When I created man, I formed him and blow the breath of life into his nostrils. But you, woman, I decorated you after I have blown into the nostrils of man because yours are too delicate.
I let the man fell sound asleep so that I could patiently and perfectly formed you. I have let the man fallen asleep so that he did not interfere with My works.
I decorated you from one chosen bone. I picked the bone which gave the man a protection for his life. I picked the rib that protected and supported the heart and the lungs, the functions that exactly you must do. From this very bone I formed you perfectly and beautifully.
You nature is that of a rib, strong but delicate and fragile. You provide a protection to the most delicate organs of the man - his heart and lungs. His heart is the center of his life, his lungs hold the breath of life. A rib will let itself be broken before it lets damage to destroy the heart. Support the man in such a way that a rib protects his body.
You were not picked up from his leg to be stepped on, nor were you picked up from his head to be his boss. You were picked up from his side, to stand beside him and to be hugged. You are My perfect angel. You are my pretty little girl. You have grown up to be a perfect woman, and My eyes are satisfied when I see your heart.
Your eyes -- don't ever change them. Your lips are so beautiful when used to say a prayer. Your nose is so perfect in shape. Your hands are so soft to the touch. I have given so much attention to the details of your face when you were asleep. I hold your heart close to Mine. Of all the living things that breathe, you resemble Me the most.
Adam walked with me in a cold day and he was lonely. He could neither see nor touch Me. He could only feel My presence. All that I wanted to share with Adam I formed it inside of you. My strength, My purity, My love, My protection and My support. You are special as you are the extension of My hands.
The man represents My image - the woman, My feelings. Together... you two represent the true GOD.
Therefore,
Man - treat the woman nicely. Love her, respect her, because she is so tender. To hurt her is to hurt Me. Whatever you do to her you do it to Me. If you break her you're only breaking your own heart, your FATHER's heart... which is also her FATHER's.
Woman - support the man. In modesty, show him the strength of your feelings that I have given to you. In solitude, show him your strength. In love, show him that you indeed are his protective rib.

Making Judgments

by: Author Unknown,

It was a cold winter's day that Sunday. The parking lot to the church was filling up quickly. I noticed as I got out of my car that fellow church members were whispering among themselves as they walked to the church. As I got closer I saw a man leaned up against the wall outside the church.
He was almost laying down as if he was asleep. He had on a long trench coat that was almost in shreds and a hat topped his head, pulled down so you could not see his face. He wore shoes that looked 30 years old, too small for his feet with holes all over them; his toes stuck out. I assumed this man was homeless, and asleep, so I walked on by through the doors of the church.
We all fellowshipped for a few minutes, and someone brought up the man laying outside. People snickered and gossiped but no one bothered to ask him to come in, including me. A few moments later church began.
We all waited for the Preacher to take his place and to give us the word, when the doors to the church opened. In came the homeless man walking down the aisle with his head down. People gasped and whispered and made faces. He made his way down the aisle and up onto the pulpit he took off his hat and coat. My heart sank. There stood our preacher ... He was the "homeless man." No one said a word.
The preacher took his Bible and laid it on the stand. "Folks, I don't think I have to tell you what I am preaching about today." Then he started singing the words to this song.

"If I can help somebody as I pass along.

If I can cheer somebody with a word or song.

If I can show somebody that he's traveling wrong.

Then my living shall not be in vain."

Love and Time

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived; Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge and all the others, including Love.
One day, it was announced to all of the feelings that the island was Going to sink to the bottom of the ocean. So, all the feelings prepared their boats to leave. Love was the only one that stayed to the end. She wanted to cherish the island paradise until the last possible moment.
When the island was almost totally under, Love decided it was time to leave. She began looking for someone to ask for help. Just then, Richness was passing by in a grand boat. Love asked, "Richness, Can I come with you on your boat?" Richness answered, "I'm sorry but there is a lot of silver and gold on my boat and there would be no room for you anywhere."
Then, Love decided to ask Vanity for help, who was passing in a beautiful vessel. Love cried out, "Vanity, help me please."
"I can't help you," Vanitysaid, "You are all wet and will damage my beautiful boat."
Next, Love saw Sadness passing by. Love said, " Sadness, please let me go with you."
Sadness answered, "Love, I'm sorry but I just need to be alone now." Then, Love saw Happiness. Love cried out, "Happiness, please take me with you."
But, Happiness was so overjoyed, that he didn't hear Love calling to him. Love began to cry.
She then heard a voice say, "Come, Love, I will take you with me." It was an elder. Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that she forgot to ask the elder his name. When they arrived on land, the elder went on his way. Love realized how much she owed the elder. Love looked for Knowledge and asked, "Who was the elder that helped me?"
"It was Time," Knowledge answered. "But, why did Time help me, when no one else would?" Love asked.
Knowledge smiled and with deep wisdom and sincerity, answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how great Love is."
